Welcome Back!!

I hope everyone’s school year has gotten off to a great start. The new Infinity Middle School program is underway in the District and the students seem to have settled in. Wredling has been a
welcoming home and the teachers are very excited and ready to go! Cyndy Halleran and I were on the committee that investigated gifted programs and gave a recommendation to the school
board to move this program forward. We felt this was another positive step in the gifted programming within District 303. Please check out the links and articles posted on this website to keep up
on what is going on at the state and local level with funding and policy. Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development has their new brochure out. It includes new classes that are
offered in an extended weekend format. I have extra copies if anyone needs the brochure or check out their website: http://www.ctd.northwestern.edu/.

On a personal note, this group has created some wonderful experiences for all students and was born from a need felt by parents in the District. We have made great strides, never as fast as we
want, but certainly forging ahead and helping the children. Our original group of workers has dwindled as our children have grown. We are in need of new leaders and workers who want to work
with the district and community to provide opportunities for our children to explore and enrich their learning experience. Please consider joining our group, getting involved and allowing our voices
to be heard with regards to our students needs. Thank you.
